Three arrests after knife robbery in Lünen
Three masked people allegedly threatened a 24-year-old woman with a firearm and a knife on Derner Straße in Lünen on Monday evening. They demanded her valuables and took her phone before fleeing into the adjacent Volkspark.
After receiving information from people around the woman, police arrested two suspects as they left the park. Another minor suspect hid in undergrowth and was found by a police dog; he sustained a slight superficial arm injury and declined treatment. Police arrested three suspects, including two minors and an 18-year-old man, and seized a knife, an airsoft gun and balaclavas. The trio is under investigation on suspicion of robbery-related extortion.
