20-year-old injured with knife in Lünen dispute
A 20-year-old man sustained minor neck injuries from a knife following a dispute at a kiosk on Kurt-Schumacher-Straße in Lünen during the night of 3 July. Police provisionally detained a 19-year-old suspect and seized both the knife and a clothes rail.
Police said the two men had arranged to meet after insults and threats on social media. A clothes rail was also used during the subsequent physical confrontation. After falling, the 19-year-old pulled a knife, injured the 20-year-old man in the neck and initially fled on foot. Officers located him during the search. Criminal proceedings for dangerous bodily harm were initiated; he was allowed to leave the police station after the measures were completed.
