Two men injured by stabbing in Lüneburg dispute

A 43-year-old man and his 25-year-old son were injured by stabbing during a dispute near a snack bar in Lüneburg’s Blümchensaal area on the evening of 23 January. The pair had visited the establishment and, according to the investigation so far, first became involved in an argument and then a physical confrontation with two operators or employees aged 27 and 32. A 32-year-old allegedly injured both men with a small stabbing or cutting instrument, including to the arm and upper body. Both were treated at a hospital in Lüneburg. The 32-year-old was initially detained on suspicion of attempted homicide but released after further enquiries. Investigations involving all those concerned are continuing.
