34-year-old seriously injured with stabbing instrument in Ludwigshafen
A 34-year-old man suffered serious upper-body injuries in Ludwigshafen. Police and prosecutors said the injuries were inflicted at the junction of Schanzstraße and Goethestraße with a knife or another instrument capable of causing stab wounds. Residents found the man and alerted police; he was taken to hospital and is not in life-threatening condition. The unknown offender was not found despite a search. Investigators are handling the case as attempted homicide and are seeking witnesses.
