Two young men seriously injured with knife during dispute in Luckenwalde
An apparently chance encounter developed into a dispute in Luckenwalde on 15 April 2025 between an 18-year-old man and two young men. A 37-year-old passer-by initially tried to intervene. The 18-year-old allegedly then pulled a knife and injured the other two men in the arms. The 19-year-old and 18-year-old victims sustained serious injuries, and one required emergency surgery. Both were taken to hospital and were not in life-threatening condition. The suspect initially fled but surrendered to police later that evening. He was provisionally detained and released on the public prosecutor's instructions after initial measures; criminal police investigations continue.
