Man seriously injured in stabbing in Lippstadt
A 21-year-old man was seriously injured by a stab wound to the back in Lippstadt on 3 October 2026. He and his 21-year-old companion were walking home at about 06:45 when two men followed them, spoke to them and insulted them. The men later attacked the 21-year-old, hitting him and kicking him to the ground. He initially broke free and fled with his companion, but was caught again at the junction of Cappelstraße and Poststraße, where one of the pursuers stabbed him. An air ambulance took him to Dortmund, where emergency surgery saved his life. Both attackers fled towards Lippstadt railway station. Police detained a man near the scene who matched the description of one suspect and set up a homicide investigation team.
