20-year-old dies after stabbing injury in Leverkusen
A 20-year-old man died from a stabbing injury on 25 August after a confrontation in a green space on Mülheimer Straße in Leverkusen-Schlebusch. The initially verbal confrontation is reported to have escalated at around 17:00. A companion alerted police, and the seriously injured man was taken to hospital while being resuscitated, where he died from his injuries. The suspected young attacker fled. Police and prosecutors established a homicide unit and searched for him, including with a police dog and helicopter.
