Woman seriously injured with pointed object in Leipzig
During an altercation in Leipzig on the evening of 13 April, a 30-year-old man is alleged to have seriously injured a 31-year-old woman with a pointed object. Police located the suspect near the scene, provisionally detained him and secured evidence.
At the request of prosecutors, an investigating judge issued and executed a detention warrant on urgent suspicion of dangerous bodily harm. The accused was taken to a correctional facility. The investigation remains ongoing and is also examining whether the incident could constitute attempted homicide.
