Man approaches police officers with knife in Landau
A 35-year-old man injured himself with a knife in Landau in the late afternoon and then approached passers-by on Reiterstraße. Police later found him on Rosengasse holding the knife and repeatedly ordered him to drop it. When he moved threateningly towards the officers, they used a conducted energy device and restrained him without injury. He was admitted to a psychiatric clinic because police said he was in a mental health crisis.
