Man threatens passengers with kitchen knife on trains
A 45-year-old man is alleged to have threatened passengers with a kitchen knife on 1 February in a train and later on an S-Bahn service near Kreuzstraße. On the S7, he took the knife from a bag and made cutting and stabbing motions, causing the passengers present to fear for their safety and move away. Four passengers sought refuge with the train driver, who locked the cab and the compartment in which the man was located. Police arrested him shortly afterward and seized the knife. Following a blood sample, he was placed in psychiatric care because he was considered a danger to others; a hearing before an investigating judge had been ordered.
