Man with knife arrested outside Krefeld comprehensive school
A 21-year-old man is alleged to have struck a pupil and pulled a knife outside the Kurt-Tucholsky comprehensive school on Alte Gladbacher Straße in Krefeld on Tuesday. Several witnesses called police at around 11:30 after the man had allegedly verbally confronted passers-by. When witnesses tried to intervene after the pupil was struck, he is said to have produced the knife. The man fled but was arrested by officers a few minutes later and admitted to a psychiatric clinic. The pupil who was struck suffered minor injuries, while no one else was harmed. The man is under investigation for dangerous bodily harm, threats and insult.
