Teenager threatens petrol station employee with knife in Cologne
On the evening of 28 December, a teenager allegedly entered a petrol station on Brühler Landstraße in Cologne, threatened a 22-year-old employee with a knife and demanded money. Police said he also sprayed the woman with pepper spray. When the employee activated the robbery alarm and she and another witness told him to leave, the teenager fled on foot without any proceeds. Police officers found him shortly afterwards in an adjoining field and provisionally detained him. A knife and pepper spray were also recovered there, and police are examining whether he may be linked to further similar offences.
