Two petrol stations robbed at knifepoint in Cologne

Two petrol stations were robbed in Cologne during the night before Wednesday. In Cologne-Rodenkirchen, an unknown man threatened a 65-year-old employee at a petrol station on Schillingsrotter Straße with a knife and demanded money and cigarettes. He fled with cash and four packs of cigarettes. Hours later, a masked man threatened a 36-year-old employee at a petrol station on Holzmarkt with a knife. When she did not hand over money, he demanded cigarettes and fled with several packs. Police are examining whether the incidents are linked to other similar robberies.
