Two men injured after altercation at Cologne Cathedral square

During a fight involving several young men at Cologne Cathedral square on Sunday evening, a 22-year-old suffered a life-threatening stab injury to the abdomen. His 18-year-old companion received outpatient treatment for minor cuts to the head. Police secured a knife as the suspected weapon; the 22-year-old underwent emergency surgery and later left hospital on his own responsibility. The known suspect fled with two companions and was being sought.
