Taxi driver threatened with knife in Cologne

During an attempted robbery in Cologne-Flittard, an unidentified passenger is alleged to have threatened a 71-year-old taxi driver with a knife and punched him in the face. The man had entered the taxi in central Cologne at about 03:00 on 29 May. At around 03:15, he is said to have attacked the driver on Pützlachstraße near Frasengasse as the driver gave him change for a 200-euro note. The suspect allegedly tried to take both the change and the note before fleeing.
