Man critically injured in knife attack in Cologne
A 44-year-old man was critically injured by a stab wound to the neck during an altercation near Neumarkt in central Cologne on Sunday evening, 27 April. He was taken to hospital and received intensive care treatment. At about 6:30 p.m., a dispute involving several men had developed on Josef-Haubrichs-Hof and near the passage to the underground station entrance on Fleischmengergasse. Investigators say an unidentified suspect is believed to have drawn a knife and stabbed the man. The search for the suspect and the investigation are ongoing.
