Man stabbed on Hohenzollernring in Cologne
An 18-year-old man allegedly stabbed a 25-year-old visitor in the torso with a knife on Cologne's Hohenzollernring after an initially verbal argument during the night of 1 January. The seriously injured man underwent emergency surgery at a hospital. Officers searching for the suspect arrested him on Gilbachstraße after recognising him from police video surveillance footage. A homicide investigation unit is investigating, and the accused was to be brought before a remand judge.
