Man reportedly robbed at knifepoint in Kempten
A 36-year-old man reported a robbery in Kempten at about 3:10 p.m. on 26 June. He said that two men threatened him with a knife at a bench below the Burghalde on the Altstadt-Traudl footpath, took his wallet and ran away. He was not injured. Police arrested two suspects in Kempten's old town. One of them, a 33-year-old man, said there had been a mutual physical confrontation, that nobody had carried a knife and that no robbery had taken place; the second suspect, aged 24, made no statement. Criminal police are continuing the investigation.
