18-year-old remanded in custody after altercation in Karlsruhe
Early on Saturday, two men became involved in a verbal and physical dispute with a group of three at Karlsruhe’s Marktplatz. The three suspects, aged 18, 20 and 22, are alleged to have punched and kicked the men. A 36-year-old is said to have fallen to the ground, after which the 18-year-old allegedly kicked him in the head.
The group left after bystanders intervened. The 18-year-old is also alleged to have threatened one of the mediators with a pointed object and briefly pursued him. Police provisionally detained all three suspects shortly afterwards. At the request of prosecutors, a warrant was issued and executed against the 18-year-old.
