Man threatens 22-year-old with knife on suburban train

An unidentified man allegedly threatened a 22-year-old with a knife on an early train journey on 26 January from Pforzheim towards Wörth. Federal police said verbal provocations and threats occurred during the trip, and the man put the knife away only after being asked to do so. At Karlsruhe-Durlach station, the suspect then allegedly struck the 22-year-old in the face with a knuckleduster. The victim suffered a lip injury and fell into the track area. The suspect and five female companions fled across the tracks. Federal police are investigating suspected dangerous bodily harm and threats, as well as suspected failure to render assistance involving all six people.
