Knife displayed during altercation at Kamen railway station
At about 5:40 p.m. on 18 July, several people became involved in an altercation at Kamen railway station. Following an argument with a 44-year-old man, a 21-year-old man called his 52-year-old father. The pair stopped the man as he tried to leave on his bicycle by displaying a knife, whose blade was in a sheath.
When the 44-year-old attempted to leave again, the 21-year-old allegedly pulled him from the bicycle and struck him repeatedly on the head. The 44-year-old sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. The 21-year-old was also treated as an outpatient for minor injuries. Police seized the displayed knife and two further knives and are investigating suspected dangerous bodily harm.
