Knife threat on long-distance bus near Himmelkron

On a long-distance bus on the A9 near Himmelkron, a 38-year-old passenger is suspected of threatening a 46-year-old fellow traveller with a knife. According to police, the incident followed a dispute after the suspect repeatedly reclined his seat. When the other passenger addressed this, the man allegedly punched him in the face, causing minor injuries to the 46-year-old's nose.

After a replacement bus driver initially separated the two, the suspect allegedly took a knife from his backpack and pointed it at the fellow traveller. Another passenger, aged 25, took the folding knife away and suffered minor cuts to his hand. Police arrested the heavily intoxicated suspect, secured the knife and obtained a pre-trial detention order. Criminal police are investigating on suspicion of attempted homicide.
