Man injured in knife attack in Steinbach
A 27-year-old man was injured at about 9 p.m. on Monday at the cemetery on Praunheimer Weg in Steinbach. Police said an unknown masked man attacked him from behind. During the ensuing physical confrontation, the man pulled a knife and inflicted a superficial injury to the 27-year-old's leg. The injured man was taken to hospital for further treatment. The suspect fled towards open fields, and the initial search was unsuccessful. The background to the incident remains under investigation.
