Knife displayed during attempted robbery in Herne
An unknown man allegedly threatened an 18-year-old e-scooter rider with a knife at about 1:30 a.m. on 1 July in the Stadtgarten area of Wanne-Eickel. According to police, the man stepped out from behind a tree and demanded the rider's wallet. When the 18-year-old loudly told him to go away, the suspect abandoned the attempted robbery and fled towards Stöckstraße without any property. The rider was uninjured, and police are searching for the suspect.
