Taxi driver threatened with knife and robbed in Herne
A 31-year-old taxi driver picked up a passenger in Castrop-Rauxel at about 6 p.m. on 8 February. The passenger initially said he wanted to travel to Herne railway station. After changing the route, the taxi stopped on a parking strip on Forellstraße in Herne. The passenger threatened the driver with a knife, demanded cash and took daily takings of about 1,000 euros. He then fled on foot. Police are investigating and seeking witnesses.
