Man injured with stabbing weapon during altercation in Hermeskeil
A 38-year-old man is alleged to have injured a 22-year-old man with a stabbing weapon during an altercation on Saarstraße in Hermeskeil in the early hours of 15 August. The injured man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital after initial treatment. Police said the dispute had been preceded by the alleged harassment of two significantly younger women at a pub, including the injured man's partner. The suspect was provisionally detained, kept in custody overnight and released the following morning. He is being investigated on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
