Man dies after stab injuries in Herford
A 47-year-old man died from stab injuries after an altercation in a house on Rennstraße in Herford. According to police, another 47-year-old man known to him is alleged to have inflicted the injuries at about 16:10 on 17 December. The victim managed to flee into the street, where he collapsed seriously injured and was resuscitated. He died shortly after emergency surgery in hospital.
A knife was recovered at the scene. Investigators initially suspected three men, but two people who were subsequently detained were released. At the prosecution's request, a judge issued an arrest warrant for manslaughter against the remaining suspect. The motive remains under investigation.
