Man remanded after knife attack in Herbertingen
A 29-year-old allegedly seriously injured a 43-year-old man with a knife at the victim's home in Herbertingen on 13 January. According to the investigation so far, the suspect went to the man’s home with three companions and demanded repayment of outstanding debts. He allegedly first made threats and then stabbed the victim to reinforce the demand.
The victim was seriously but not life-threateningly injured and treated in hospital. The suspect initially fled, was arrested the following morning and later brought before an investigating judge. The judge ordered pre-trial detention on suspicion of attempted robbery extortion in conjunction with dangerous bodily harm. Investigations into the background and the three companions are continuing.
