Man seriously injured in suspected knife attack in Heilsbronn
A 40-year-old man was seriously injured in Heilsbronn on Thursday morning in a suspected knife attack. At around 08:45, an unidentified suspect allegedly inflicted stab wounds to the man's upper body on St.-Gundekar-Straße.
The injured man was taken to hospital after receiving initial treatment. Police said that a life-threatening condition could not initially be ruled out. The suspect fled, and officers are searching for him with several patrols and a police helicopter. The background to the attack remains under investigation.
