Teenager allegedly attacked bus driver with knife in Heidenheim
In Heidenheim, a teenager allegedly threatened a 42-year-old bus driver with a knife and then tried to strike him with stabbing and cutting motions. The driver had confronted him after he boarded the bus without obtaining or showing a ticket.
The driver moved behind a plexiglass screen and avoided the attack. The teenager initially fled but was detained near the railway station shortly afterwards. Police seized a kitchen knife. At the prosecution's request, a judge issued a detention order on urgent suspicion of attempted manslaughter; the suspect is in pre-trial custody. The investigation is ongoing.
