Man robs Hattingen petrol station with kitchen knife

A masked man is alleged to have robbed a petrol station on Burgaltendorfer Straße in Hattingen at around 9 p.m. on 12 February. According to the initial findings, he ordered a cashier to open the till while displaying a kitchen knife. The cashier put cash in the mid-three-figure range into the offender's bag. A witness followed him after he left the station but stopped after noticing that the man had a knife. An immediate search initially produced no result, and criminal police are investigating.
