Woman robs Hattingen petrol station with knife
A 41-year-old woman allegedly entered a petrol station on Kohlenstraße in Hattingen at about 18:45 on 13 May, took a knife from her bag and demanded cash while holding the knife up to a 33-year-old employee. He handed over a cash box containing a low four-figure sum and was not injured. The woman initially fled in a grey Mercedes but was arrested in Essen during a coordinated search by police from Essen and the Ennepe-Ruhr district. Officers recovered the money and knife during a search, and a court ordered pre-trial detention.
