18-year-old injured in knife attack in Hanover
An 18-year-old was attacked with a knife in a flat in Hanover's Bothfeld district at about 00:05 on 30 June 2026. According to police, a 40-year-old man had previously argued with his former partner. When her son entered the flat, the suspect allegedly stabbed him.
The 18-year-old sustained a stab wound, received medical treatment and was taken to hospital. The suspect fled after the injured man's sister called emergency services. Police are investigating attempted homicide.
