Woman critically injured with stabbing weapon in Hanover
A 31-year-old resident of accommodation in Hanover's Sahlkamp area was critically injured on Monday afternoon. Police said that a 38-year-old man allegedly attacked her with an as-yet unidentified stabbing weapon at about 17:00 near the corner of Sahlkamp and Am Jagdstall. She was taken to hospital and underwent emergency surgery the same day; her condition was subsequently stable. The man fled before police arrived. Prosecutors classify the case as attempted homicide, while police continue to search for the suspect.
