Man injured in knife attack at Hanover Central Station

A 30-year-old man was slightly injured in a knife attack at Hanover Central Station on 26 March. A 25-year-old man allegedly approached him from behind on Thursday afternoon, drew a knife and stabbed toward him several times. The 30-year-old sustained stab and cut injuries to his limbs and was treated in hospital.

Security staff intervened, pushed the attacker away and restrained him until federal police arrived. The suspect was arrested. He is being investigated on suspicion of attempted manslaughter and was due to be brought before a custody judge.
