Man seriously injured with knife in dispute in Hanover

An unidentified man allegedly seriously injured a 39-year-old man with a knife during a dispute in Hanover-Mitte on Monday. Police said the man stabbed his opponent in the upper body near a substance-use support facility on Augustenstraße. The injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance with an emergency doctor; police said his life was never in danger. The suspect fled by bicycle and was not found despite a search. Police are investigating on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm and seeking witnesses.
