Man injured with knife during attempted extortion in Hanover

A 51-year-old man was injured on the arm with a knife during a suspected robbery on Wittekindstraße in Hanover's Linden-Mitte district on 26 April. Police said two unidentified men entered his parked car. One allegedly threatened him with a firearm while the other choked him, and they demanded cash. As the man fled the vehicle, one of the suspects injured him with a knife. He was treated in hospital, while the two suspects fled towards Lichtenbergplatz. Police are investigating attempted aggravated robbery and extortion.
