Men armed with knives threaten people in Hamm
Several men allegedly forced open the door of an apartment in Hamm at about 10 p.m. on 21 October. According to police and prosecutors, some were armed with knives, threatened the people inside and assaulted the resident, who suffered facial injuries. A 23-year-old man took hold of a firearm and fled after telling the men to keep their distance. The men pursued him with knives; a 25-year-old man was shot in the leg. Investigators are examining the 25-year-old man and a neighbour of the injured resident on suspicion of, among other things, dangerous bodily harm.
