Man stabs brother at Hamburg campsite

A 66-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries during an argument with his 65-year-old brother at a campsite on Ochsenwerder Elbdeich in Hamburg-Ochsenwerder. Police said the younger man stabbed him with a knife at about 19:33 on 24 July. Witnesses intervened and alerted the fire service and police. The injured man was taken to hospital for emergency surgery and his condition later stabilised. The suspect was arrested and is in pre-trial detention on suspicion of attempted manslaughter. The investigation is ongoing.
