Man provisionally detained after knife attack in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg
A 26-year-old man is suspected of critically injuring a 24-year-old man with a knife late on 6 January at residential accommodation in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg. Police said an argument between the two men had preceded the attack. After residents alerted police, officers provisionally detained the suspect at the accommodation. Emergency personnel took the injured man to hospital with an emergency doctor, and he remained in critical danger. The homicide unit and public prosecutor's office are investigating, and the suspect was due to be brought before a remand judge.
