Passenger threatened with utility knife on train to Altona

On 2 September, a 29-year-old man allegedly threatened a passenger with a utility knife on RB 71 between Pinneberg and Altona. According to a witness, the man had first been speaking loudly on his phone despite requests to lower his voice, then insulted the passenger and displayed the knife with its blade extended. Federal and state police met the train at Hamburg-Altona station and located the suspect after it arrived. Officers seized a utility knife during a search. Proceedings were opened on suspicion of making threats and insult.
