Teenager critically injured in knife attack in Hamburg
A teenager was critically injured by a knife stab on the Stadtpark meadow in Hamburg-Winterhude on Saturday evening. Another teenager had previously been injured in the face during a verbal altercation. When several people then approached the alleged attacker, he is said to have suddenly made a stabbing motion. The injured teenager underwent emergency surgery and was later reported to be stable. The 19-year-old suspect was provisionally arrested at the scene and later taken to pre-trial detention. During the arrest, an officer was also slightly injured by a blow from what was described as a type of tent pole.
