Detention order after knife attack at Hamburg Central Station

On 23 May, a woman injured people waiting at Hamburg Central Station with a knife. Passers-by and emergency personnel stopped the attack on the platform serving tracks 13 and 14, and the woman was arrested. A total of 18 people were taken to hospitals. At the time of the investigation update, seven people had minor injuries, seven serious injuries and four life-threatening injuries; the four critically injured people were later reported to be in stable condition. At the prosecution's request, a judge issued a detention order for attempted manslaughter combined with dangerous bodily harm in 15 cases. Those 15 cases concern people who suffered cut or stab wounds; other transported people had, among other things, injuries from falls or shock.
