Two men seriously injured in knife attack in Hamburg
Two men were seriously injured by knife wounds in Hamburg-Ottensen on the evening of 14 February. Police said a man entered an apartment building on a pretext and attacked a 56-year-old resident and a 22-year-old family member with a knife at the open apartment door. Both injured men received initial treatment and were then taken to hospitals; neither was in life-threatening condition. The suspect fled and an initial search was unsuccessful. The homicide squad is investigating and currently assumes there was a prior relationship between the man and those affected.
