Man found with life-threatening stab wounds in Halle
Police found a 58-year-old man with life-threatening injuries in his apartment in Halle-Neustadt during the night leading into Sunday. His injuries included stab wounds, and his condition remained critical after he was taken to hospital. Neighbours had called police because of a loud dispute. Witnesses said four other people had earlier been in the apartment drinking alcohol with the man and had left hurriedly after an argument. A 41-year-old suspect was detained on Sunday morning and a 37-year-old on Tuesday. Both are in pre-trial detention in an attempted manslaughter investigation. The instrument that caused the stab wounds has not been identified.
