Knife threat and punch in Hagen-Hohenlimburg

On 2 November, a 33-year-old man allegedly punched a 30-year-old man in the face without warning on Bahnstraße in Hagen-Hohenlimburg and verbally threatened to kill him with a knife. The man who was attacked ran away; the 33-year-old followed him for a short distance before heading towards Stennertstraße. The 30-year-old told police that he had had a dispute with the man about ten years earlier but no contact since. Officers later encountered the 33-year-old, who was intoxicated and aggressive. He denied throwing the punch but repeatedly raised his fists towards the officers and struck the patrol car. When he neither calmed down nor complied with an order to leave, officers restrained him and took him into custody. A breath test indicated a blood alcohol level of 1.7 per mille, and a preliminary drug test was positive. Police filed a report concerning assault and threats. They did not report finding an actual knife.
