Shoplifting suspects threaten staff with razor blades in Gütersloh
Two men allegedly threatened shop staff with razor blades after a theft in Gütersloh on 14 October 2026. At about 13:40, employees noticed three men stealing from a store on Berliner Straße; the men fled when approached. Staff pursued two of them to the central bus station on Kaiserstraße, where the men initially threatened the employees with the blades. Responding officers provisionally detained the 39-year-old and the 46-year-old there. One resisted, tried to kick an officer and repeatedly insulted the police. Officers recovered stolen shoes and costume jewellery, while investigations into the third suspect continue.
