Man arrested after fatal stab wounds in Gütersloh
A 46-year-old man died after sustaining serious stab wounds at a homeless shelter in Gütersloh. Emergency services were called at about 10:10 a.m. to Holzheide near Marienfelder Straße, where they found him lying on the ground. A 61-year-old man suspected of the offence initially barricaded himself in a room and was arrested without resistance by special police units at about 12:35 p.m. A homicide squad is investigating the circumstances, which remain unclear.
