Man remanded in custody after knife attack during family dispute in Griesheim
A 43-year-old man is alleged to have attacked a 74-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man with a knife during a family dispute at a house in Griesheim on the night of 1 May. Both suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospitals; police said they were not in danger of dying at that time. The man was arrested. On 2 May, an investigating judge issued a pre-trial detention order at the public prosecutor's request, and the suspect was taken to prison. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances of the dispute.
