Woman with kitchen knife triggers police operation in Grafenau
After an apparent family dispute, a 29-year-old woman sought protection in a supermarket on Dätzinger Straße in Grafenau-Döffingen on 18 March. At about 09:15, a 39-year-old woman followed her into the store while holding a kitchen knife. Staff intervened, took the knife away and restrained the woman until police arrived. Police provisionally arrested her and took her to a psychiatric facility because she was believed to be in a mental health crisis. Nobody was injured.
